SoroSoke gives you several ways to engage with content and other users — through likes, comments, and direct mentions.
Liking a post
Tap the heart icon below any post to like it. The like count increments immediately. Tap again to unlike. Likes signal appreciation or agreement to the post author and contribute to the post's engagement score.
You can also like comments within a post thread by tapping the heart icon next to any comment.
Commenting on a post
Tap the comment bubble icon on any post (or tap the post itself to open it fully) to leave a comment. Type your response in the reply field and tap Send. Comments appear in chronological order below the original post.
To delete one of your own comments, tap the delete (trash) icon that appears next to your comment's author name. Only you can delete your own comments; the post author can also moderate comments on their posts.
Replying to a comment
Tap Reply beneath any comment to reply directly to that commenter. Your reply will be nested under theirs, creating a thread. The commenter will be automatically notified.
Mentioning another user
Type @ followed by a username in any post or comment to mention another user — for example, @adaeze. As you type, a dropdown will suggest matching usernames. Select the correct user to create a linked mention. The mentioned user receives a notification.
Mentions work in the body of posts, in comments, and in direct messages.
Seeing your mentions
All posts and comments where you were mentioned appear in the Notifications tab under the Mentions filter. Tap any mention notification to go directly to the content where you were tagged.
Meaningful engagement on the platform — liking, commenting, and verifying civic posts — contributes to your S-Points. Check your balance any time in Settings → My S-Points.
