Types of posts
Text posts
A standard text post is the simplest way to share an opinion, report an issue, or start a conversation. Text posts support inline mentions using @username.
Photo and video posts
Attach up to several photos or a video clip to your post. Videos are limited to a maximum file size of 50 MB. For best results, use MP4 format for videos. On mobile, you can choose to pick media from your gallery or capture it directly with your camera.
Voice note posts
Record a voice note of up to a few minutes directly in the app. Tap the microphone icon, press and hold to record, then release to stop. You can preview your recording before attaching it to the post.
Polls
Create a poll with 2–4 answer options. Polls run until you choose to close them. Results show vote counts and percentages, broken down by voters' LGA when available.
Topics and hashtags
Adding topics with # makes your post discoverable to anyone browsing or searching that topic. You can add multiple topics per post. Topics drive the Trending section and help your civic content reach the right audience.
Editing and deleting a post
SoroSoke does not currently support editing a published post. If you made a mistake, delete the post and create a new one. To delete a post, tap the three-dot menu (⋯) on your post and select Delete. This is permanent.
Publishing posts on SoroSoke earns you S-Points as part of the civic participation rewards system. The more you engage meaningfully with civic topics, the more you earn. Track your progress in Settings → My S-Points.
