Keeping your SoroSoke account secure protects your personal data, your S-Points, and your civic voice. Follow these best practices to stay safe.
Use a strong, unique password
If you signed up with an email address, choose a password that is at least 12 characters long and contains a mix of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols. Do not reuse a password from another service. Consider using a password manager.
Keep your phone number up to date
Your registered phone number is used for OTP verification — a critical security step. If your phone number changes, update it in Settings → Profile immediately so you don't lose access to your account.
Recognise phishing attempts
- SoroSoke will never ask for your password or OTP code via SMS, WhatsApp, or phone call.
- Be suspicious of any message claiming to be from SoroSoke that asks you to click a link and enter your credentials.
- Check that URLs start with
sorosokegpl.comorapp.sorosokegpl.combefore entering any information. - Report suspicious messages to support@sorosokegpl.com.
Sign out on shared devices
If you use SoroSoke on a public or shared device, always sign out when finished. Go to Settings → Sign Out.
Monitor your account activity
Periodically check your posts and S-Points history for any activity you don't recognise. If you notice unexpected posts, messages, or S-Points changes, your account may have been compromised. See Help with Compromised Account immediately.
Your S-Points balance reflects your civic contribution history and is tied to your account. Anyone with access to your account could perform actions in your name, which may affect your standing and leaderboard position.
