Accessibility

SoroSoke is designed to be usable by as many people as possible. Here is what is currently supported and how to get the best experience if you have accessibility needs.

Text size

SoroSoke respects your device's system font size setting. If you increase the font size in your Android or iOS display settings, SoroSoke's interface will scale accordingly. On the web version, you can use your browser's zoom feature (Ctrl/⌘ + +) to increase text size.

Screen reader support

The Android app supports TalkBack. All interactive elements — buttons, post cards, icons — have semantic labels that TalkBack reads aloud. To enable TalkBack, go to your Android device's Settings → Accessibility → TalkBack.

The web app at app.sorosokegpl.com is built with Flutter's semantic tree, which provides support for NVDA, JAWS, and browser-based screen readers. If you encounter an element that isn't labelled correctly, please contact support and we will address it.

Colour contrast

SoroSoke's primary colour scheme (navy blue on white) meets WCAG AA contrast requirements for normal and large text. If you find certain areas difficult to read, using your device's High Contrast or Invert Colours mode (available in Android and iOS accessibility settings) can help.

Reducing motion

SoroSoke uses subtle animations for transitions and loading states. If you are sensitive to motion, enable Reduce Motion in your device's accessibility settings — the app will minimise non-essential animations.

Voice input

All text fields in SoroSoke support your device's built-in voice input (dictation). Tap a text field and then activate voice dictation via your keyboard to compose posts, messages, and comments hands-free.

Reporting accessibility issues

We are committed to improving accessibility continuously. If you encounter a barrier or have a suggestion, please email us at support@sorosokegpl.com with the subject "Accessibility Feedback".
